Location
CHINESETOWN has moved! We are now located nearer to the beautiful West Lake in a business and education area. It is a mere ten-minute bike to the lake and the city center. Near the school is a host of facilities and scenic spots.
Sports Facilities
The city's largest sports center, Dragon Sports Center, is only a five-minute walk from the school. The sports center houses such facilities as swimming pool and gymnasium. A stone throw's away is another gymnasium, run by an international group.
Supermarket and Restaurants
In the area, there is a shopping mall with a huge supermarket inside. Attached to the shopping mall is a range of restaurants offering international food such as Japanese food and Korea food, besides Chinese food and fast food.
Tourist Center
There is a major tourist center around. Tourist buses depart everyday from the center to interesting destinations inside and outside the city, including bus tours to the famous Yellow Mountain. Tourist consultation service is offered here. | |
Scenic Spot
Near the school is a scenic spot called "Dragon Cave", where you can view the traditional Yue Opera against the backdrop of bamboo trees and pagodas. The set up of the scenic spot is based on a Chinese cultural theme called "Yuan" (fate).
The spot is flanked by mountains, flowers and lawns, and connected to some other interesting places by tree-lined hiking routes.
