Zhejiang Wanli University (ZWU), situated in Ningbo, covers a total area of 95 hectares and consists of Qianhu Campus, Huilong Campus and Zhashan Base. ZWU has most beautiful human-orientated campuses, green and well-equipped, widely recognized by people in educational circles. In ZWU, there are a Business School, a Law School, a Faculty of Culture & Communication, a Faculty of Foreign Languages, a Faculty of Design and Architecture, a Faculty of Biological & Environmental Sciences, a Faculty of Electronic and Information Engineering, a Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, a Junior College, for a total of 9 faculties, as well as Continuing Education College and International College. ZWU provides 36 4-year undergraduate programs, which comprise disciplines as wide as economics, law, literature, science, engineering, agriculture and management. At present, there are more than 20,000 full-time students at ZWU, with a staff of more than 1,200.

Over the last few years, the university has actively participated in international exchanges and cooperation with other universities, successively establishing relationships with more than 20 universities in the UK, France, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, Poland, Hungary and among others. Furthermore, ZWU has established a close partnership with the University of Nottingham. Thanks to joint efforts, a new cooperative university, the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China (UNNC), which follows the education system of the University of Nottingham, UK, has been set up. The university provides students with opportunities to experience foreign cultures and to acquire the latest know-how, and a caring atmosphere to study foreign languages by virtue of student exchange programs, study abroad programs, short-term visiting programs and the annual employment of more than ten foreign teachers. In addition, the university also encourages teachers to attend international academic conferences and to undertake internationally co-operative research, and welcomes oversea scholars to give lectures or make short-term academic exchanges.

The university attaches a great deal of importance to the development of campus culture. The four seasons in ZWU —— Green Wanli, Technological Wanli, International Wanli, and Human-oriented Wanli, become the highlights of a series of large-scale activities. Cultivation of students' innovative and pioneering spirit and a wide variety of activities in which students interact socially has created an academic atmosphere and human-oriented environment with special characteristics in ZWU.

The International College recruits international students and offers international students 36 undergraduate (4-year) programs through Zhejiang Wanli University.  Among them, Faculty of Foreign Languages offers an “International Trade” module under English specialty which provides its courses taught entirely in English. Besides, international students can also take some  English-taught business courses plus Chinese Language and Chinese Culture courses to further enhance international students' knowledge and skills in their filed of expertise and help them absorb valuable insights and first-hand experience about China and Chinese Culture.

The International College also runs short-term programs, such as Chinese Language and Culture, Chinese Calligraphy, Chinese Martial Art for groups of international students all year round.

We strictly control the number of the students per class which mean that students receive individual attention. Students here are all accommodated on the campus. Staff from International College are dedicated to organizing various visits to cultural and historical sites and well-known enterprises in their spare time and providing assistance to international students.

Climate, transportation and living facilities
Ningbo is located on the coast of the East China Sea and is just South of the Yangze River Delta, with neighboring cities Shanghai and Hangzhou. Ningbo covers an area of 9,365 sq. km. and has a total population of 5.527million, 2.105 million of whom are urban residents. Ningbo is the birthplace of the ‘Neolithic Hemudu Culture' dating back 7,000 years. It is a famous historic city with a rich cultural heritage. Ningbo has always been an important foreign trading port in China and attracts more and more overseas guests with its huge potential each year. Ningbo features a subtropical monsoon climate characterized by moderate temperature, humid air and distinct seasons.
Zhejiang Wanli University, located at No.8 South Qianhu Road, in the Higher Education Area of Ningbo City, has a beautiful campus with a convenient transport network. Buses No. 363, 366, 369, 101, 102, 108 at the front gate will take you to different areas of Ningbo Downtown Area for shopping and entertainments.

The apartments for overseas students are equipped with air-conditioning, TV, telephone, refrigerator, washing machine, Internet access, cooking utensils, bathroom and hot water system. Two students share one apartment with living room, washroom and kitchen; each of two has his or her own bedroom.

A dining hall, in addition to a wide variety of restaurants, clinic, shops and laundry are all available on the campus to make your life easy. The gym is well-equipped with a variety of first-class fitness appliances for students to keep fit. Also, you can enjoy free access to our tennis courts, basketball courts and table-tennis tables. Single Room: Daily cost is RMB 30 Yuan in 2009
Facilities: TV, telephone, bathroom, hot water, air conditioner, washing machine, refrigerator, kitchen utensil. Electricity, water and phone, gas, Internet costs should be paid according to actual consumption.
